Historical Society Volunteers

We are always looking for volunteers from all walks of life. Our volunteers are the life blood of our organization! No matter what your skill level or interest, your talents would be welcomed here at the McKean County Historical Society Museum at the Old Jail!

There are many ways to help preserve and teach history here at the museum. From leading tours to taking photographs, cataloguing exhibits to transcribing Civil War letters – we could always use the extra help! There is a lot to do.

Volunteers are able to set their own schedules. We are open Mon. – Fri. from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. We run tours from 1 – 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday in April, May, September and October; and from Monday through Friday from 1 – 4 p.m. in June, July and August.
